On Sunday, sunny Sunday, we had a stall during the Spring Event of the lovely Martineau Gardens. It was a perfect day to visit the garden for some tea and cakes, to buy some plants, or picnic in the grass. There was a whole orchestra present and the food was tasty too.
But we had work to do!
We spoke to visitors about our different campaigns and handed out our newsletter. For our divestment campaign we asked people to write a letter to their MP to raise a motion for investments in fossil fuels by the local pension funds to end.
We also gave out Birmingham Pound flyers, which look just like real money.
We also made sure interested people were signed up to our email updates.
