Eco-Sutton, Birmingham Friends of the Earth, Equality West Midlands and Birmingham Jubilee Debt Campaign have come together to organise Sutton Coldfield election debates on Tuesday 5th May. The event will start around 7pm and will take place at the Trinity Centre, lasting until around 9.30pm. Exact timings are to be confirmed and may be subject to change.
We have confirmed that Sutton Parliamentary candidates Richard Brighton-Kinight (Liberal Democrat), Marcus John Brown (UKIP), Andrew Mitchell (Conservative), Robert Pocock (Labour), and David Ratcliff (Green), will be taking part.
This is a great opportunity for Sutton residents to quiz their election candidates ahead of the election. The debate will have some emphasis on development, environmental, and equality issues, as well as other national and local issues – depending on the questions asked!
Candidates will make a short speech followed by questions from the floor. Questions can both be submitted in advance and on the night. Please email nancy@birminghamfoe.org.uk to submit a question in advance.
We are asking people to register in advance so we have an idea of numbers. Please book your place using the booking link. The event is free but donations on the night to cover venue hire costs would be appreciated.
Any questions about the event please email nancy@birminghamfoe.org.uk
Please reserve places for us at the Sutton Hustings on May 5th.
Thank you.
