Birmingham Friends of the Earth have today launched our report into how Birmingham City Council could fund investment £10 per person per year in active travel for at least 10 years. This is our key ask for Let’s Get Moving campaign, to tackle poor air quality in Birmingham.
We recognise the difficult financial circumstances that all councils face, and so have produced this report to show how it potentially could be funded in Birmingham. It is also a question of priorities, we believe air pollution is an critical problem that needs to be urgently tackled, and should therefore be prioritised accordingly.
