On Saturday 27th September, as part of a national Day of Action for the Bee Cause, we planted a Bee World in Digbeth Community Garden.
Despite the Government promising a National Pollinator Strategy back in June 2013, they have yet to produce the final draft. So in the absence of national political action, bees need all the help they can get! This is why we decided to plant a Bee World in the Community Garden, with the added bonus of adding another feature to an already wonderful community green space.
We expect the flowers to bloom in the spring and we can’t wait! In the meantime have a look at the photos from the workday.
