On Saturday 18 November we are joining groups for a nationwide Day of Action, calling for lower energy bills and warm homes for all. We’ll be putting pressure on our politicians to act, by showing that we are united for warm homes. To help tackle fuel poverty and climate change we need a rapid roll-out of street-by-street insulation, as well as urgent support for people dealing with sky-high energy bills, and an energy system powered by cheap, green renewables.
We will be bringing together creativity and activism by hosting a craftivism day at the Northfield Arts Forum space in Northfield Shopping Centre. Come along for a cuppa, chat and add your message to our community quilt.
You can drop by anytime between 10am and 4pm. We will have activities for all ages so you’re welcome to bring along family and friends. We will also be inviting local politicians to galvanise their support for our campaign demands.
You can also support the campaign by adding your name to the Birmingham United for Warm Homes petition: https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/ask-birmingham-mps-to-take-action-for-warm-homes
