Maintenance Volunteer at The Warehouse – Birmingham Friends of the Earth

Can you use your DIY skills to help our community building?

The Warehouse is Birmingham Friends of the Earth’s environmental community building which is home to our campaigns activity, meeting space, the vegan Warehouse Cafe, Sprocket Cycles, Vesta Living (sustainable household goods) and Alleways vegan Confectionary – and a whole host of charities and voluntary groups. We’re looking for someone with DIY skills (basic or better!) for regular volunteering to help keep the building looking good and running well.

– Painting, decorating or tiling
– Putting up shelves, repairing items
– Cleaning windows or a spot of gardening
– Any other DIY tasks that suit your skills and interests!

You can commit as much or as little time as you like and work with on your own or with others. A weekly (weekday) slot would be perfect but there are other options!

Your volunteering will be helping Birmingham FOE and all these groups to achieve their aims; you can learn new skills or share your knowledge and help others. Past volunteers have found it fun, made friends and sometimes found paid jobs as a result of their volunteering.

You can commit as much or as little time as you like and work with on your own or with others.
