Come and find out about volunteering opportunities at Birmingham Friends of the Earth on Saturday 24 September

Are you looking to gain new and highly transferable skills?
Would you like to experience working in a grassroots organisation?
Are you interested in environmental issues and care about Birmingham?

Then Birmingham Friends of the Earth have an opportunity for you!

The event will provide an ideal opportunity to talk to current volunteers and find out more about our weekly campaign meetings, remote and office based volunteering and student placement opportunities as well as information on our Save Our Soil and Warm Homes campaigns.

We will be banner painting and prop making so if you fancy doing something a bit crafty then we would welcome your help. There will also be some light refreshments.

Whether you’re a seasoned campaigner or just starting out there are exciting and varied roles that will give you the opportunity to work on multiple campaigns or focus on the one that interests you the most. Whichever you decide, you will learn a range of campaigning techniques, including campaign planning, community outreach, political lobbying, alliance building, marketing and promotion, press work, fundraising and much more.

Please let us know if you have accessibility requirements so we can help you fully participate by emailing info@birminghamfoe.org.uk or calling 01216326909.

If you can’t make it to our event but are interested in volunteering with us then please do get in touch.
