On Wednesday 25 October 2023 we took our petition signed by many people from across the city to the Council. At 3:30pm we met Councillor Mahmood inside the Council House and proceeded to the Chambers for some photos and presented him with our petition in the Glass Corridor.
Councillor Mahmood left us with reassurances that the petition will be presented to the Full Council Meeting in November 2023 and a report will be produced afterwards. We have decided to extended the deadline for the petition so please sign if you haven’t already – https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/tell-birmingham-city-council-to-save-our-soil/
A big thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign so far and to Bee Friendly Brum and the many other organisations campaigning to end the use of chemicals in our parks and green spaces.
What’s next for the campaign? We are currently planning the next phase of our Save Our Soil campaign so keep an eye on our social media channels and website for details. If you’re interested in helping with the campaign please do get in touch – info@birminghamfoe.org.uk
