Birmingham Friends of the Earth
Membership and Fundraising Assistant Volunteer Vacancy

Do you have experience in membership management and a creative approach to fundraising? Are you interested in local environmental issues?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic & capable volunteer to help us increase and diversify our membership and design new and exciting fundraising initiatives.

We’d love someone to make a project out of developing and delivering a membership strategy that will allow us to meet ambitious but achievable targets while also maintaining an excellent relationship with our supporters. We would also love them to come up with some new and exciting fundraising initiatives that we can implement over the next 6 to 12 months. All will be with the aim of bringing new people into the building, maximising our local impact and diversifying our audience.

If you’re new to this line of work we can help you develop your skills, or if you’ve already got experience we’d be happy to let you take charge.

Tasks will involve reviewing our current membership to identify any gaps and trends, developing a membership and fundraising strategy and working with the Campaign Support worker and other volunteers to build these into our promotional and campaign work. Ideally we are looking for somebody that can commit at least two months, and we would love this to be a longer term role!

Expenses and management support will be provided. We hope you will gain valuable experience, develop your skills and learn new ones, meet new people, and enjoy the unique and special working environment of our much loved building.

If you are interested in applying for this role, please send us a CV and covering letter telling us why you are interested and what relevant experience and skills you can bring.

Please email your covering letter to and CV:
