What do you do here?
I’m organising BFoE’s 2nd comedy gig, Pedalling for Laughs! as part of the main campaign, Let’s Get Moving
What do you like about working here?
I’ve enjoyed meeting the volunteers and understanding the ethos of FoE. I’ve enjoyed managing the comedy gig, it’s been a great opportunity and not something that I thought I would ever be involved in doing.
What have you learnt from volunteering with BFoE?
A lot more about the issues that have an impact on the environment and the challenges that BFoE address through campaigning. Also, a lot more about working with other volunteers.
What do you think is the most important environmental issue and why?
The amount of packaging there is and the waste we create, and the cost of dealing with it. Recycling is fine, although it has its own problems, but it would be better to create less waste in the first place.
What’s your best green tip/advice?
Carry a reusable shopping bag with you so you don’t need to use plastic carrier bags.
