Earlier this year we attended Aston University’s Go Green Weekto talk to students about their accommodation and link this in with our Energy Bill and Warm Homes campaigns.
This video shows you what students were saying about the standard of insulation and energy efficiency in their student digs. From this and the many other stories Friends of the Earth have been collecting nationally, you can see the importance of pushing for a better Energy Bill.
Yesterday some of our key asks were accepted, but there is still more work to do.
Join us at this public meeting in Selly Oak, University of Birmingham on June 2nd or contact your MP about this and let’s ensure there is a strong energy bill that will solve the problems of poorly insulated homes leaving people in fuel poverty and wasting large amounts of energy.
