This weekend the Climate Change festival makes a return to Birmingham with 3 days of events.

First up on the Saturday is a host of events in Centenary Square (outside the Rep theatre and ICC) where there will be a solar powered green circus and roadshow, ethical and fair trade market, a solar powered stage with music, pledge points, recyling area, biodiversity zone and range of information and activities for all the family. See this link for all the details of what will be on the stages.

There also seems to be a lot of emphasis on recycling bras as you can see from this picture of Councillor Tillesley with his hands on a few pairs in front of the “floozy in the jacuzzi” sporting a nice pink one:

We will be there doing a mini swap shop along the lines of our successful Monthly event in Moseley. In addition there will be some crafting demonstrations by the Happily Ever Crafter crew about how to make nice things out of what would normally be considered waste.

We’ll also be talking about the other campaigns we are running and telling people how they can get involved in campaigning to improve their local environment, influence politicians on the world stage to ensure climate justice for the most vulnerable and do things to help make a difference.

Come along and see us on Saturday – keep your fingers crossed for good weather and ignore the non-dom non-tax-paying right-wing Tax Payers Alliance and their sniping.
