On 24th November, as part of the African Climate Connection, there will be a talk and a free viewing of the inspirational film “Taking Root: The Story of Wangari Maathai”. This event has been organised by Friends of the Earth Birmingham in collaboration with Oxfam and Christian Aid, and is a great opportunity to hear more about how to help the world’s poorest communities deal with climate change. Many are suffering as a result of changes to the environment, but there are steps to a more sustainable future. The UN climate talks in Durban are crucial to delivering justice – and you can make this happen.
