Birmingham Friends of the Earth is once again proud to organise Birmingham’s In Town Without My Car Day’ event on 22nd September 2010.
This event will take place in cities all cross the world as part of International Mobility Week and your company/staff can play a major part in making Birmingham’s participation a success. If you have a CSR strategy to take sustainability issues seriously than this is a fabulous way to show your commitment.
It’s easy to take play your part- encourage all your staff for one day to use sustainable means of transport, not only for the environmental impact but to also encourage exercise and increase productivity levels.
Last year our challenge to the power 50 to do this made front page news in the Birmingham Post and we intend to make an equally big splash this year, too, by publishing stories of those who take part.
If your company supports the event and achieve a substantial reduction in car use on the day, we will send you a certificate commending your participation, as well as using the story in press work.
