A good suggestion to capture more recycling at home is to keep a bag or bin in the bathroom for items you can recycle, as well as a rubbish bin. Apparently, much less recyclable waste gets captured from bathrooms than kitchens. This could include plastic bottles, glass bottles and cardboard, and you would then take them down to join the household recycling collection. A good thought is to use the toilet roll wrapper to line the bin. Obviously, anything contaminated would go in the rubbish bin, but most items from the bathroom can probably be recycled..
A useful suggestion from the Circular Economy Taskgroup of Business in the Community, and thank you to Ellie Gabbay for drawing it to our attention
